Creative disciplines rarely exist in isolation—yet exchange across fields remains limited. As a result, many of the connections between ideas, methods, and perspectives are still left unexplored.
The Salon responds to this by creating a setting that brings together diverse creative voices. Architects, designers, artists, and thinkers come together not around a fixed agenda, but within an atmosphere that encourages curiosity, attentiveness, and open dialogue.
Through a combination of curated exhibitions, guided conversations, and informal gatherings, the Salon creates space for both focused exchange and spontaneous encounters. The emphasis lies on meaningful connection—on discovering shared interests, new perspectives, and ways of thinking that extend beyond one’s own discipline.
The space has been conceived to support this way of coming together. Its environment is designed to allow for both focus and conversation, for reflection and encounter. Exchanges are meant to unfold naturally, thoughts to develop in dialogue, and unexpected connections to emerge. The Salon is not a stage for disciplines, but a setting in which inspiration arises through exchange, and experience becomes part of the creative process.
The interior design reflects this philosophy: open spaces that adapt flexibly to their function, an atmosphere that engages the senses, and a curated collection of objects that tell their own stories. People gather, rearrange furniture, and often linger longer than planned. The Salon highlights what we, as architects, cherish most, collecting mementos, furniture, and objects that carry their histories within the room.

»Insofar as buildings speak to us, they also do so through quotation – that is, by referring to, and triggering memories of, the contexts in which we have previously seen them, their counterparts or their models. They communicate by prompting associations.«
